'If only he had been patient and trusted my judgement': Skilled craftsman gets reprimanded for doing his job, cleverly finagles manager to work 3 extra hours alone

Do not question the skilled craftsman. That's just common sense, right? Apparently not, according to this Reddit thread. A skilled tool and die maker was doing his job when he got reprimanded. He knows, from years of experience and knowing how to do his job and do it well, that he had to wait 30 minutes before doing anything else. The machine is testy and he knows it's ups and downs. So he waited patiently so that the machine would work properly.

However, the annoying manager who thinks he knows everything comes in and start yelling at him for standing around. OP tries to explain why he was doing so, but nope. He was just being lazy, according to the manager, and just trying to bank out on some PTO. So, OP did what it sounded like his manager was asking, he packed up his things and left work. God forbid he accidentally gets PTO for doing his job.

20 minutes later, the manager comes in looking for OP and OP's coworker reminded him that he told him to go home. So now, the manager was forced to work alone for 3 extra hours. Again, you don't question the skilled craftsman. See for yourself with the whole story below!
